Before founding East Kent Tutors I worked in the primary sector for 11 years, including long-term positions in Medway, Swale and Herne Bay areas. I have taught all ages and abilities and have been commended for my ‘outstanding understanding of children’s learning’ and ability to develop confidence, enthusiasm and academic resilience in my pupils.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

I have experience of working with – and identifying – a range of physical and learning disabilities including: visual impairment, dyslexia, Irlen syndrome<\/span><\/u><\/a>, mobility and writing difficulties, ASD, ADHD and global delay. I have provided safe and friendly learning environments for students with these and other learning challenges. Pupils with English as an additional language have made accelerated progress in my classes. In addition I have been successful in inspiring students who had become disaffected with schooling, supporting children who are Home Educated and children in Local Authority care.<\/p>\n
