Not gonna lie, it’s been a rocky start but we’ve got it nailed.

Sessions are now held using Bramble, a fab online platform that allows the tutor to prepare the whole lesson onto a notebook that both tutor and student can work on.  Each child has its own virtual classroom and at the end of the session their notebook is saved so the student can revisit it as often as they choose.

 

We had trialled other platforms but with the massive increase in people working online right now, we were finding the quality of the calls were too variable. The glory of Bramble is that it uses less bandwidth so the children can still access sessions freely even when everyone else in the household are using the internet. Now even spatial awareness sessions are just fine.
