I was fortunate enough to be invited to a year 6 production this week. The last year group I taught have reached the end of their primary years. It was joyful and it was tinged with a little sadness and if I felt that way how much more so for the parents. Watching children grow, flourish and spread their wings, ready for their next adventure, is a privilege and a pleasure but golly time flies and they seem grown up all too quickly. Throughout the county schools are closing their doors today, teachers are sighing with weary relief and parents are planning ways to fill 6 long weeks.

Here are EKT we will be beavering away during the summer with extra sessions having proved really popular. But we will be getting some family time away, walking, playing sports -nothing too strenuous for me – and barbecuing a lot. Whatever your plans for the summer, have a great time, enjoy your time with your youngsters and build up memories.
